Privacy Policy

Life in UK: Test Trainer  ·  Effective 20 July 2026

Life in UK: Test Trainer (the "App") is operated by Ignore Instructions LLC ("we", "us", "the operator"). This policy explains what data the App handles and, more importantly, what it does not.

Summary

The App is designed to work fully offline. Your study progress, quiz answers, flashcard scheduling data, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not operate user accounts, we do not run analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not show ads. The only outside service the App talks to is Apple's In-App Purchase system, via RevenueCat, to process your subscription or lifetime purchase.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, and have no access to:

In-app purchases

The App offers a subscription and a one-time lifetime unlock, both processed by Apple through the App Store's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles your payment details directly; we never see or store your card information.

To manage entitlements (i.e. to know whether a purchase has been made), the App uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or any study data. RevenueCat's own privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Data deletion

Because nothing is stored outside your device, deleting the App from your device deletes all of its study data and progress. There is no server-side account or backup to separately request deletion of. Your purchase history is tied to your Apple ID and is managed by Apple; reinstalling the App and using "Restore Purchases" will restore your entitlement without restoring any local progress data (which is deleted with the App itself).

GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA

We take a data-minimization approach: the App is built so that no personal data needs to leave your device in the first place, and no personal data is collected, sold, or shared by us. Because we do not collect personal data, most rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (such as access, deletion, or opt-out of sale) are inherently satisfied — there is no personal data held by us to access, delete, or sell. If you believe this is not the case in any specific instance, you can contact us using the details below.

Children

The App is a study tool for an adult UK immigration/citizenship exam and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
